No parking zone
by Peggy Lotke

I live in an attached condo and my neighbors had just moved in a few weeks past. However, I did not have much contact with them as I worked far away in Boston. One day, I was ill and came home early, wanting to just go to bed. But when I pulled into my driveway, there was a car blocking my driveway. I was livid!!! I rang my neighbor's doorbell and was told he was sorry but his wife's friend parked there as I was never home. He would move the car immediately. I angrily decided at this time never to have anything to do with my neighbors again.

The next day my doorbell rang and there was my neighbor with an apology note attached to a lovely plant.

Long story short-I did get over my anger and they turned out to be the nicest people and the best neighbors anyone could ever want. They water my plants and take in my mail when I am away on business and we have so much fun together. Go figure!
